Your coaches put their programs in Obra. Your members train and log in it. You see which members are with which coach, and you can fund their seats at a partner rate or let them subscribe themselves. Nothing to build, nothing to pay, and a 0% platform fee on anything you sell through it.

What a member gets
- Their coach's program in the app, with rest timers, demos and substitutions, and last session's numbers on screen.
- Classes count. A member who takes a class or goes for a run logs it in one tap, with a calorie estimate. Obra is not only for lifters.
- Food and weight in the same place, with calorie and protein targets that adapt to their real results.
- Apple Watch and Apple Health. Heart rate during a session, finished workouts written to Health.
What the studio gets
Coaches who can see
Every coach sees their members' weeks without asking: sets, meals, weigh-in trend. Read-only, exactly what the member chooses to share.
The roster
The studio sees which members are attached to which of its coaches. Attachment is the member's to control, so it stays consent-based.
Seats at a partner rate
Buy a pool of seats in one subscription at 20% off and assign them to members. Free a seat and it goes back to the pool.
A storefront, if you want one
Sell a membership or a program online. Obra takes a 0% platform fee. Stripe's card processing still applies.
Who pays for the app
Two ways, and you can mix them. The studio funds seats from its pool at the partner rate, or members subscribe themselves from $9.99 a month with a 7-day free trial, and 10% off through a coach's link. The gym account itself is free. Your membership price, if you sell one through Obra, is separate and entirely yours.
Questions studios ask
- Do we have to list anything publicly?
- No. Coaches add members by email or phone. No listing needed. The storefront is there if you want it.
- Who do the members belong to?
- To themselves. A member chooses which coach sees their data and can change it. What the studio gets is the roster: it always sees which members are attached to which of its coaches.
- Does it replace our booking or billing software?
- No. Obra is the app members train and log in, and the place coaches see them. Keep your front desk software.
- Is there a contract?
- No. Free account, cancel nothing, leave whenever. A seat pool is a normal monthly or annual subscription you can change or cancel.
