Sell your workout programs in an app, and keep all of it.
You wrote the program. Obra puts it in an app with timers, demos and swaps, sells it for you one time or as a monthly membership, and shows you every set your client logs. The coaching account is free and the platform fee is 0%.
What a trainer's client gets
A program in Obra is not a document. It is the workout, running:
- Timers that count down. Rest on the phone, on the Lock Screen and on an Apple Watch, and timed sets like a plank counting down the same way.
- Last session's numbers on screen for every set, so progression is visible without a spreadsheet.
- Demos and swaps built in. When a machine is taken, your client picks a substitution from the same movement family instead of texting you.
- Food and weight in the same app. Calorie and protein targets, a food log that takes seconds, a weigh-in trend. Training and nutrition are one record.
- Finished workouts written to Apple Health, with the calories they burned.
What you see
Every set, as they log it
Reps, load, and whether it was done. The week at a glance, not a "how did it go" text on Sunday.
Their food and their trend
What they ate and where their weight is heading, read-only, exactly what they choose to share. They can revoke it.
A message thread with proposals
Propose a change to the program, they approve it, and it is live in their next session. No re-sending a file.
Three ways to charge
| Listing | Price | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Program, one time | You set it | The 8-week program you sell today as a PDF, now in the app. Yours to update after the sale. |
| Coaching membership, monthly | You set it | Online clients. Ongoing access, your check-ins in the app, plan changes you propose and they approve. |
| In-person clients | Free to add | Invite by email or phone. You see their week the same way, no listing needed. |
0% platform fee. Buyers pay you through Stripe, split at checkout. Stripe's card processing fee still applies, as it does anywhere.
20% recurring on referrals. Your share link gives a client 10% off the app and pays you 20% of what they pay Obra, for as long as they stay. That is on top of your own price.
Build on a phone or a computer
The editor runs in the app and at obra.fit in any browser. A full multi-week program, with sets, reps, loads, rest and AMRAP sets, goes faster with a keyboard. Save a workout once as a blueprint and reuse it.
Getting your first clients in
Your current clients are your first ten users. Send them your link with one line: "I moved my programs into an app. Yours is loaded, and you get 10% off through my link." Then one Reel for everyone else. The six shots, a bio line, a caption and the DM are written for you at obra.fit/creators.
Questions trainers ask
- Do my clients have to pay for Obra?
- Yes. The app is a subscription for them, from $9.99 a month with a 7-day free trial, and 10% off through your link. Your program or membership price is on top and goes to you.
- Can I keep my own website?
- Yes. Point its buy button at your Obra storefront. The site is the front door; Obra is what your client uses every day.
- Can I pay for my clients' app instead?
- Yes. Buy a pool of seats in one subscription at 20% off and assign them to clients. Free a seat and it goes back to the pool.
- What if a client already uses Obra on their own?
- Invite them by email. They accept, and you see their week from then on. Nothing to re-buy.
- Does the AI replace me?
- No. It logs a meal from a photo or answers a question when your client presses a button. It proposes, never decides, and you can see what it suggested.
- Is there a contract?
- No. Free account, cancel nothing, leave whenever. Your listings and clients are yours.
